CLIENT RECEIVES PROBATION FOR ANIMAL CRUELTY CHARGE

Cruelty to Animals – Final Outcome: One Year Probation

Court: County Court for Okaloosa County


Client, a member of the USAF faced Animal Cruelty charges for allegedly punching a small dog and then slamming it down on concrete. The charge could have resulted in an end to his military career in the United States Air Force.


Outcome: Client received one-year probation and very importantly a withhold of adjudication of guilt thereby saving his Air Force career.

FOURTH DUI

Client is offered 18 months incarceration in the Florida Department of Corrections for a Fourth DUI while represented by another attorney.  Final  Outcome: Probation


Fourth Driving While Under the Influence (DUI) – Final Outcome: Charge is downgraded, and Client receives 12 months probation.

CLIENT FACES MARIJUANA DISTRIBUTION AND CONSPIRACY CHARGES IN FEDERAL COURT FOR THE NORTHERN DISTRICT OF FLORIDA.

Charges:

  • Count 1 Conspiracy to Distribute/Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana
  • Count 2 Use of A Communication Facility/Conspiracy to Distribute
  • Count 3 Conspiracy to Commit Money Laundering


Client had no previous criminal history but was a key player in a marijuana distribution scheme where he allegedly transported $2,700,000 by private plane to a codefendant in California. The client wisely agreed with our assessment to cooperate with the government resulting in a downward departure sentence from the twenty-year maximum incarcerative exposure.


Outcome: Client received two years probation with the ability to terminate probation early upon payment of his fines.  Follow this link to read his sentencing memorandum.

CLIENT OFFERED THREE YEARS PROBATION FOR ARSON

Arson – Final Outcome: Case Dismissed.


Circuit Court for Okaloosa County. Client who has autism was arrested for Arson after lighting  a Molotov Cocktail in former teacher’s driveway. Client was evaluated at the Amend Clinic in Atlanta and further evaluation by forensic psychologist Heather Holmes. After negotiations client received a Deferred Prosecution Agreement allowing the case to be dismissed upon completion of requirements

CLIENT FACES ONE YEAR IN THE OKALOOSA COUNTY JAIL FOR POSSESSION OF PARAPHERNALIA

Client faces one year in the Okaloosa County Jail for Possession of Paraphernalia


Possession of Paraphernalia – Final Outcome: Case Dismissed.


Court: County Court for Okaloosa County. Client who had an extensive criminal history faced one year in the County Jail. After negotiations he received a Deferred Prosecution Agreement allowing the case to be dismissed upon completion of requirements.
