Child custody dispute with both charges dismissed

Our Client, who is a local professional, was initially charged with Felony Child Abuse Without Great Bodily Harm and Domestic Violence. It should be noted that these charges were filed shortly after our client had filed for divorce. As is often the case charges such as these were filed by the spouse trying to get an upper hand in a custody dispute. Shortly after commencing representation of the client the Child Abuse charge was dismissed as unsubstantiated. The case was then sent down to County Court for resolution of the Domestic Violence charge.
Outcome: Ultimately the Domestic Violence charge was dropped by the State due to insufficient evidence to move forward.
